We’re now running FREE workshops – because the weather is lovely, the days are warm, and… well, everything else seems to be getting more expensive 😅 So why not come along, have a laugh, get a little creative (with some gentle guidance from our tutor), and put together some floral delights for our upcoming exhibition? No pressure, just good vibes and maybe slightly too much chatting – but honestly, that’s what community is all about. Curious? Various ideas were tested and shared while also enjoying the relaxing surrounded and wonderful food. The celebration drinks each evening topped off each great day. Make more fun; The annual ACTTAA Galong Retreat wa Make more fun; The annual ACTTAA Galong Retreat was over themed, over the top and way too much fun. Each night was a different theme with a Pink Bar, Silver Screen dinner and Hawaiian evening to end a huge fun weekend of creativity. The Silver Screen event had us dressed in sparkles, with some reaching a high bar dressing as screen icons, and even the red carpet turned up. Tonight, we time-traveled back to the Viking age (minus the pillaging) with a fabulous guest speaker who introduced us to card weaving – an ancient craft that proves Vikings weren’t just good at raiding... they were also pretty snazzy with their textiles. Who knew? After that, we dove into some juicy updates on our 50th Annual Exhibition coming up next year – yes, the big 5-0! 🎉 Plans are in full swing, and let me tell you, the excitement in the room was so contagious, it should’ve come with a warning label. And to top it all off, our Show and Tell was a dazzling display of creativity, talent, and “how-did-you-even-make-that?!” moments. Seriously, if talent were yarn, we’d all be tangled in it.
