Garden of Threaded Delights Exhibition

The Garden of Threaded Delights invites visitors to experience gardens in a completely different way—through the artistry of contemporary textiles. Celebrating the ACT Textile Arts Association’s 50th anniversary, this vibrant exhibition features works inspired by flowers, foliage, wildlife and the natural world, interpreted through embroidery, quilting, weaving, felting, mixed media and textile sculpture.

Located at the Queanbeyan Art Society Gallery, just 30 minutes from Commonwealth Park, the exhibition offers a colourful indoor destination for Floriade visitors wishing to extend their exploration of the region’s celebration of spring. Alongside the exhibition, visitors can enjoy a photo shoot in the floral archway, a boutique selling handmade textile gifts, and a display celebrating five decades of textile creativity in the Canberra region.

For the first time, ACTTAA has joined Floriade about Town. All visitors to the gallery will have the opportunity to encourage local artists by voting on their favourite artwork or sculpture.
